The Snowman

Todo un clásico en esta época del año, esta deliciosa y poética historia me acompaña desde que el inglés empezó a formar parte de mi vida allá por los años 90. Mi profe del British Institute nos la trajo en un video a la vuelta de las navidades, un maravilloso regalo que perdura. Nos dijo que estuviéramos muy atentos a ver si la entendíamos, éramos principiantes y como podreis comprobar las imágenes y la música hablan por sí solas.

 

The Snowman is the tale of a boy who builds a snowman one winter's day. That night, at the stroke of twelve, the snowman comes to life.

"I remember that winter because it had brought the heaviest snows I had ever seen. Snow had fallen steadily all night long and in the morning I woke in a room filled with light and silence, the whole world seemed to be held in a dream-like stillness. It was a magical day... and it was on that day I made the Snowman."

Buscando información para esta entrada acabo de descubrir con gran ilusión que el año pasado se emitió The Snowman and the Snowdog que retoma las aventuras de esta famosa pareja. Tan solo he podido encontrar avances, aún no está el video de la historia completa pero espero poderla ver pronto ;-)

Os dejo como despedida una felicitación navideña y una canción en ambas el protagonista es el muñeco de nieve. Aquí no nos visita la nieve pero en otros lugares es todo un acontecimiento y fuente de diversión.
